She shook her head as she moved towards Earth once more. She was being sent there, to watch over the mortals who called the planet home, to help when there was a need. She had finished her training this time, and she knew that she had missed the planet dearly. Or was it that she missed a certain human above all else? She would not be able to tell you if she did not know you.
She remembered her last stay on the odd looking planet. She had been so nervous and such a clutz of an angel. Now though, she was something different. A fully trained and powerful arch angel. That was not something she could claim to be all the time. And it was not something she would dare lie about.
She knew that her body had not changed, appearence wise, but she did know what she had become.
She moved quietly towards the cafe, knowing that there was going to be something interesting happening inside. It was a lot like Henry's bar, she knew that people and creatures from all different places came into it. She could tell from the minds inside the building. Not that she would let on that she knew what was going on in their heads of course.
The huge black eagle wings were out and only folded so she could get through the door, before they spread out again. She was an arch angel, so what was the point in hiding her wings? Not that she had a halo, that was something that you never got where she came from. For she was not one of the Earth angels.
Her skin was dark, a rich caramel, though the skin on her face was covered in golden tattoos. A rearing golden pair of unicorns was there on her face, their horns touching in the middle of her forehead. There were rose garlands around the unicorn's necks, and an obvious dappled pattern to their coats. They were not artificial either, they had come when she turned a certain age, as they always did.
Looking down at one of her legs she snorted. There seemed to be a crossbow bolt sticking out of her lower calf, but she was not even wincing from the thing.
Hurt yes, when it went into her, but not any more. Reaching down, she gave it a sharp tug, and out it came. No blood splattered away from her though, she had already sealed the skin. Sitting down, she muttered a few words in an alien tongue that no one of the humans around her would know.

Henry sighed, looking around at his bar. Most of the Keepers of the Circle had passed on- died in battle whilst protecting Circle's Realm. Jenny had been with them- but that was ten years ago. He sighed again. He missed her dearly.
He looked up, hearing the entrance bell ring. An arch angel shadowed the door way. His heart stopped, and time seemed to have stood still. "Jenny? Is that truely you?" He blinked, seeing her injured. "Come sit down, my lady. I will get you some ointment for your injuries." He lead her to a seat, and planted a gentle kiss on her lips- whispering how he had missed her.

She chuckled as he regonised her. "Yes its me, Henry. Been a decade, hasn't it?" she smiled. While he was away though, she looked down at her own torso. There was blood on her shirt and she knew it was her own. Grimacing, she carefully removed her top, looking at the armour underneath that she always wore. There was a huge dint in it, and a hole. That was where the blood was coming from, she knew that something had gotten through the steel breastplate and her chain mail shirt.
A rare occurance now she was fully trained. "You'll be pleased to know that I graduated from angel school and am now known as one of the many Arch Angels. I chose to come here seeing as I was already famliar to this place."

He gave her a gentle hug. "Well done," he praised. He pressed some wool against her injuries- careful not to hurt her. "I thought I'd never see you again- that you've moved on from me..." his tone was saddened, and quiet. "Are you staying?" he asked, almost afraid.

It was good for her to know that he had missed her as much as she had him. "I missed you as well. How could I ever move on from you?" She smiled at him.
"I might not have been able to watch over this planet while I was back home, but you still held my heart the while time." Ut was something the others could not figure out about her.

Henry grinned, hugging her tightly. "I wish my dad could see you now. He'd be so proud of you," he told her. He had aged in her absence. He has less hair, and deeper wrinkles around his eyes. "I'm proud of you too," he smiled.

"I fought just as much as the rest of you to defend the circle. I guess they could not fail me for that." She smiled, hugging him back. Things had changed. She could sense that. But she also knew that having her time back, in the place that she had loved, was worth everything.
"Tell me, did they ever catch Marissa?" For she had been called back to her home world before they had found the woman. It was something that had plagued her mind of late. "I could not stop thinking of her while I was back home. Wondering if there would still be this place left to return to. This was home.

Henry sighed, it had been ten years and one month ago. "No- we haven't caught her yet. We've one more door to go through. Unfortunately, there aren't any of us left. I'm the last of the Keepers. The others had all died in battle." He fell silent, and solemn. "Including my father," he finished sadly. Tears welled up in his eyes at the memory. "He spoke of you as he was dying. And to tell you... he had asked me to tell you that you are good for me- and he sees you as his daughter." He turned away, wiping his tears from his damp cheeks. That had been a mere month ago; killed by a Saphire blue dragon.

She winced at the words. It was bad that she had missed out on seeing Jason again. She had liked him very much, and had considered hima freind. If only there was a way for them to be able to talk to the man. She knew there, was a way, but she also knew that she could not do it unless Henry wanted her to.
"ssh, do not cry, henry. I might be able to make a way for himt ot alk to you, his spirit that is, but only for a few minutes, if you want me to."

Henry glanced at her with a blurred watery vision. He nodded silently. It would give him a chance to say goodbye- and for Jenny too. "Please," he asked hoarsely. "I would like that."

She smiled, gladdened that he liked the idea to some extend. Smling she took a few steps back, reaching back into the memories of the time she had spent here last time she was here.
Smiling though she managed to find the face of the man she had not been able to say goodbye to. Thinking for a moment, she stuarted to mutter a few things in her own tongue and slowly in front of her, appeared the mist like shape of Jason himse.f.
She opened her eyes. "Jason!"

Jason was not in his former appearance- but was instead cut and bruised from the battle. "It's so good to see you again, Jenny. I trust my son gave you my message?" Henry swallowed hard, he could hear his father- though couldnt be seen. "I told her father- less than an hour ago," he announced loudly, uncertain of his location. Jason looked at his tearful son, his expression was grim. "Have you got to Marrissa yet?" Henry shook his head, "I've got to go through the last door- just the yellow one left now." There was a saddened pause. "It's just me now, Im the last keeper." "I know, son," Jason replied sadly. Jason turned to Jenny, speaking softly. "You're like a daughter to me- promise me that you'd try to be happy together." He paused, reaching for the right words. "Once Marrissa has been captured- she must be killed and the doors locked. Once the doors have been locked- please lock the main entrance door as well. The Keepers Circle shall be no more." Henry turned to face the doors- ones that he had grown up with. He held the key that hung around his neck, as his father had many years ago. His heart ached- he was the last one to the end.

“Yes, he told me everything you said, Jason. I'm back here to stay this time. My training's complete, and I am an arch angel now.” She smiled at him, though. “Henry can only hear you though, I brought you here, I just don't have the power to be able to make you visible to him as well.” She knew that would be something confusing for all of them. “There is no spell to do such a thing.”
She shook her head, listening to the other words that he said. Though she stood taller than his son, right now she did not feel that way. “I called you, though I know that it would have been odd for you to suddenly find yourself pulled here. You'll only be here for another two minutes before I have to let you go again. I'm not leaving Henry again. Not unless I get summoned by my own people.”
She smiled. “I have to admit, while I was here, you were like a father to me. I wish I had not been called away at the time I did, but my school wanted me back to evaluate my own performance. I fear that the dragon that killed you, was one of my own kind, in its more protective form. My protective form is a gryphon, theirs must have been a dragon.”
Clearly she felt very guilty about the idea of having been at fault.

Jason sighed, holding out a ghostly hand out to her and cupped her face gently. "It wasn't your fault, dear. I wasn't fast enough- I was getting old you know." Henry's eyes filled with tears, and he forced himself to walk away. Jason noticed. "Henry's taking my death hard; he'll be all right. He tried to save me; unfortunately, I had lost too much blood." Tears filled his own eyes. He paused, looking up, wincing. "I'm being called back. I'm sorry- I wish I could stay longer. Send my love to my son- and please be careful... I love you both." With those words, his ghostly figure began to fade.

“I know you are, Jason. My spell's ending. One day we'll meet again, who knows where.” She smiled and then turned away to go and find where Henry went. There was no doubt in her mind that he might need her at the moment.
She was glad for it was nightfall, therefore her wings would not show up unless someone illuminated them with their car lights. No one seemed to be out at the moment though, and that amused her. She would never forget any of the keepers, and if Marissa dared face her here, well that was one person who would end up dead.
She would ensure that things ended here, as they should have a long time ago. There was no doubt in her mind about that right now. Seeing where Henry was, she moved over to him, ignoring the slight rustling noise her wings made.
Though human emotions were foreign to her at times, she knew that he could need her at the moment. “Henry?” she asked as she wrapped her arms around him gently.
