Henry nodded, it was more powerful than the barrier he could produce. His barriers wouldn't throw her for more than a couple of yards. "That'll keep her out of our hair at least," he grinned. Theo laughed lightly, then began to frown. "You know, she doesn't live far from here. She lives down the road, about three quarters of a mile away. She can't even get to her house now." He wasn't bothered, the woman was an annoyance.

"Teaches her a lesson, though does it not? You don't mess with one of my race and hope to not get in my bad books. I have been defending this place a longer time than even Henry realises. Though I have to admit the anti vampire barrier does get my hackles up a bit. At least now I have a way to get passed that." She smiled at Theo. "Marrisa's a human, they survive. She will too."

Theo nodded, smiling still. "I'm not complaining. She has always been like this. A lot of the people she knows have all got gifts and powers. But, she hasn't. She was sent away, exiled from her home because she doesnt have the gift. Same goes for the others on her island, they too were exiled because they are without magic. Since then, she is very bitter at everyone." Henry sighed, "That's no excuse to be so rude."

"No its not. But what can we do about people who get so jealous about what other people have that they do not? I have lived for so long, and you'll never know me to show jealously so openly." It was something she had practiced hard in the art of concealing nowadays.
It was not something she was going to get wrong, ever again. She knew that there was so much that was going to happen in her life, but some of it she was not ready for. Things like the final battle yet to come, one where she was the only one who would be able to fight.

Henry nodded, agreeing with her solemnly. "There is nothing we can do. If she did have a gift, what would stop her being more insufferable than ever?" It was a disturbing thought.

She sighed. "There is nothing more annoying than her at the moment. She seems to be getting under my skin and that really is not something I like the feeling of."
She grimaced at the thought. Then she looked at the time. The sky was darkening outside and she knew what that meant. "I have to go soon, the school day is starting in about an hour, but it takes me twenty minutes to get there on my own wings. I'm sorry, Henry."

Henry nodded, smiling at her. "All right. I'll just get ready- the bar will be ok, won't it? It's not allowed to be unoccupied, not for a single second otherwise all the doors will open and will be trouble."

"Not a problem," Kristy chuckled. "You can count on us there." James grinned at Henry. "Don't worry, its safe in our hands."
Jenny smiled. "What did I tell you?" she asked. She was thinking of something different though. She would have to go to the feeders when she got to the school. Her hunt had been disastrous tonight. Slayers were everywhere, and more than one had a broken arm or pulled muscles after she'd retaliated.
"Why do humans have to get so agressive at me?" she muttered, mainly to herself.

Henry slipped on his coat and nodded at Jenny. "Right then," he smiled, "let's go to school."

She chuckled as her strong but ancient black wings spread out behind her. Night was falling and that was when she could shed her human gise and become the creature she was born. "Be quicker to fly, henry, if you don't mind." She smiled. "No one will spot us, not with the spells I can cast to stop unwanted attention." She smiled at her freind. This was going to be a good evening, she knew. There was going to be a lot of fun, fun that her own kind took a lot of interest in at the moment. Their kind of sport!
Henry grinned, smiling at his lover. He flexed his own wings, transforming boldly into the protector. His scaley wings stretched out, and nodded. "Let's fly," he beamed.
“Let's see how well you fly, shall we?” she chuckled. Her eyes closed for just a moment, before opening again. In the split second her eyes were closed, the clothing she wore changed into smooth hard armour. It was not lone before the golden unicorns on her face started to glow as well. This was her true form, the Gaurdian. She smiled. "ready?"
Henry grinned, taking a few steps back. "I certainly hope so, or I am going to have a bumpy landing," he joked. Being new as the protector, he was not yet confident to fly without a jump start. He backed against the wall, the began to run; his wings spread out preparing for the lift. He rushed out of the door and lept into the air. Grinning, he hovered for a moment; waiting for his lover to join him.
She chuckled as he finally joined her in the air. Flying came naturally to her, she did not have to think really and she was up in the darkening sky. "Don't worry, if you fall, I'll catch you." She was a lot stronger than she looked. She could sense how uneasy he was about the whole flying thing. Not that she was too worried by how he was feeling at the moment. "You'll be fine, it comes to us naturally after a while. When we get there, I might teach you a few things. If I have to, I can even fight while up here. Time will give you such things, but you'll get there, eventually. Think of it this way, you've got an eternity to get used to it, thanks to me bringing you back."
