She sighed, knowing that this was going to mean trouble for them. Though she knew also that she was back now, and a few people were about to get a kick up the arse for thinking about replacing her. "Who exactly has been thinking that? I'm back now, so I think I ought to give them a good telling off." It was clear she was not pleased.
Ashleigh frowns with a shrug. "The rogues mostly," she informed her.

Ashleigh sighed, 'It was always the rogues,' she thought miserably. She had them sent away more times than she had sat down. 'I told them that I would see to things in your absence until you get back,' she explained. 'It was the only way I could keep the rogues away from your position. Now though, I have trouble getting anywhere- everything is like it's bolted. That or the barrier has affected me too now. I can't make heads or tails of it.' She thought for a moment, then paused. A woman across the room was watching them. "Are you listening in?" Ashleigh demanded.
Melody blinked at her, tilting her head. "No, of course not. I am just... admiring your outfit. It's different to what I have seen before."
Ashleigh sighed, suddenly remembering that the bar was the gateway to all worlds. "That's because I'm a head demon."
Melody raised an eye brow, the bar seemed to attract a odd crowd. "Fair enough," she mumbled. "Like I said," she mused, "I am a healer. I've had a long journey- right through a breech in the sky- and now I am not wanted, despite trying to help."
Ashleigh sighed, she had enough of her own problems. "Then you will need to repair whatever damage is done."
Melody nodded, flicking her black hair. "That's what I am doing here, I've all ready been walking for three days." She looked at a man she was sitting beside. "Isn't that right Marvin?"
The man nodded, looking at her nervously. "I said not to talk to no one; we've had enough killing for a long while."
Melody snorted, "They had to die, lest you wanted us to die instead," she retorted.
Marvin sighed, "I know- but you could have just knocked them out. Now we'll be hanged if we are ever caught."
Melody rolled her eyes, seemingly to forget the strange customers. "We won't be caught, unless we get careless. If you can't handle the pressure, turn round and go home."
Marvin grunted and fell silent. He knew his village would never accept him back. "No, I will stay."

"Why could I expect anything less than those rogues?" Jenny muttered. "They will pay." As soon as she was back in her school, she would thrash them. That was something that was automatic. "And guess what... Slargon's back again... he was the one who killed Rudi." She shuddered at the bad memory. "That bully has much to answer for. Though who freed him this time, I will find out and they will be destroyed this time. As will he..."
"I commend you on your efforts to track me... but you have always been one week behind me," came a voice as someone appeared in the room. As soon as the voice spoke, Jenny spun around with a feral sounding hiss.
"Slargon!" she all but screeched. "You are going to die!"

Melody sighed, watching as this creature appeared out of no where, standing ready to battle. She stood up slowly, flexing her fingers. Here, her magic was limitless. "I don't know who you think you are- but I am trying to have a drink- I have had a very long day. Now- you don't know what I can do when I am mad- but I suggest you look very scared and leave quickly- before you find out!"
Marvin pulled Melody aside, whispering in her ear. "I don't think this is a good idea- the demon and her friend seem to have everything under control."
Melody glared at him. "No! I will not stand for it anymore!"
Ashleigh glared at the woman, watching as things began to wilt and die around her. "Woman- keep out of this. He is too dangerous. This isn't child's play!"
Melody brushed the insult off, stepping between the Slargon and Ashleigh. "Don't make me tell you again."
The Slargon hissed, taking a step back. "Who the hell are you to order me around?"
Melody stood her ground. "I am the bringer of life and death- and you are ruining my evening!"

"I appreiciate your help, Melody, but this is my fight. He killed my fiance, and now he has to pay!" She growled at Slargon. "It's about time we met again. I knew you would turn up eventually, I just had to bide my time."
"You're a fool. I'm stronger than last time, Nightstorm," drawled Slargon.
"Oh yeah? Why am I not surprised, because i am as well!" It was clear that she was angry with him. "I suggest we take this fight outside."
He laughed, "Fine, but you'll be the one who loses."
"The hell I will!"

Melody sighed, "All right. Just shout out if you need back up." Ashleigh glanced at her, then went outside to join Jenny with her fight. Henry the bar man looked at Melody, and the man that sat beside her. They were whispering about Melody wanting to go home- back to her own universe. Henry chuckled, he had the answer to that. He stepped towards her, and told her what he knows. "That's simple- well, it sounds easier than it is. Just go to the Hell Ridge Desert. Among the pebbles in the middle of the land, you will find a clear pebble. Pick it up and bring it back here- it's the key to the universe door. There are other ways of getting there- but I wouldn't recommend trying them. Safer is better, though a little tedious." Melody looked at him, gaping. Could it really be that simple? Marvin shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "I thought we are going to save the world?" Melody nodded, beaming. "We are- and then, I am going to go home." She took a large mouthful of her drink. 'At last,' she thought proudly.

There were some things that were unforgiveable at the moment. This was one of those things that needed some attention from her. She really would kill this time. It was clear that there was nothing more than rage in her very being at the moment. There would be no backing down for either of the two fighters.
This fight though... would be to the death. The ultimate fight at the moment was about to begin. One that was for not just revenge for Jenny, but for the entire planet, and she knew it.
Do not get involved this time, Ashleigh. This is a fight that I knew would come eventually. The words shifted from her mind gently into Ashleighs. Even if it looks as though I might lose. She knew that she was being stubborn, but there were some things that, as Nightstorm, she had to do alone.
This was one of those things.
As soon as the greasy hided grey gryphon leapt at her when she exited the building, Jenny's form changed into her normal powerful silver gryphon. She leapt for the other gryphon, they collided in a ball of clawing elemental energy. She knew that he had others who would be feeding him power and strength, but she bit into that connection, severing it.
"Fight on your own, not with your minions," she screeched. The two mighty creatures fought with a strength that seemed too graceful for their deadly means for it.
He seemed to laugh and just when he thought he had her pinned she kicked with her hindlegs in a sucessful move to get him off. There were many feathers on the ground now, and both did not look the best any more. Not that either seemed to care at the moment. They were only concerned with defeating the other. Eventually though, Slargon changed into a heavily armoured angel like form.
Immediately Jenny switched into her arch angel form. The swords clashed once more.

Marvin shifted uncomfortably again, sitting on a hand whilst lifting his drink with another. 'She won't save the world. They won't let her; they'll kill her before she reaches the woods,' he thought silently. "Why not just go straight to the desert? Let me save the world," he suggested lightly. Melody shook her head, smiling. "Thanks for the offer," she sighed. "It's sweet of you, but I'd like to save the world- I don't want you to go round getting killed."

She sighed as she fought back bitterly. This was certainly a fight worth of her time now. "You will lose," she hissed. "You may be stronger but you will lose. Especially against one who has a goddess within them who waits to take over if there is a need.”
She glared at him as time and time agian, their weapons hit home. Always though they managed to block the more deadly aimed attacks on each other. It was clear as the fight drew on that they were both equally matched in strength, for they seemed to tire equally. Then Jenny seemed to tire, and Slargon laughed as he rained blow after blow at her, some of which she barely seemed to be able to block. Ashleigh though would know that she was faking it, and that she was not really losing at the moment. More she was drawing him into a hole that she would easily dig herself out of.
The humans inside though would not be thinking of anything clever like that. She knew that, but that was a part of her plan for this fight. She knew when she would strike back, once she knew that Slargon was tiring.

Melody watched the fight, feeling exhausted just watching them dart about and rush each other blow by blow. They were both doing a lot of damage. She sipped at her drink calmly, waiting in case she needed back up. Marvin watched too, though his eyes barely left Melody. 'How am I going to stop her, without getting myself or her killed?' he fretted. Melody raised an eye brow, her companion seemed worried. "Anyways, not to worry," she smiled, trying to calm him. "I won't go home until I have saved the magic." "That's what I am afraid of," he muttered under his breath. "Wha?" she asked, only half hearing him. "That's what I am afraid of," he repeated. "I don't want you to get hurt," he quickly explained. She nodded with a smile. She seemed to have bought his lie. Marvin slumped back, wondering how she would kill him once she discovered his lie. 'Please let it be a quick death,' he silently preyed. Ashleigh walked through the door, covered in feathers and blood. "The fight will be over in a few minutes. The Slargon has started to sway," Ashleigh reported. Melody and Marvin merely nodded, though both of them had other worries on their minds.

She knew what was going on in the bar while she fought with Slargon. She was weakening herself, but that was due to healing so often in such a small span of time. Eventually though, she seemed to drive him backwards against a wall, the fury in her was too great at the moment.
One last lunge was all that was needed and her sword struck home, straight through Slargon's heart. Well, where the silent heart he has was meant to be, and was still to this day. The other immortal gasped as he seemed to be set alight as he died. That last lunge though had sapped too much of her strength.
She fell as she let go of her sword in shock of the flames, not having the strength to manage to fall away from the sword on the ground, plus a couple of daggers and things that Slargon had fought her with.
She did not feel the pain as they sliced into her back, causing her blood to flow once more. The worst of it was that her blood seemed to quench the flames on her old enemy and he escaped, still alive. Jenny slumped, completely out of it, not knowing that he had gotten away once more from her.

Oh ok. So Jenny's blood revived him a bit?
hmmm....
Ashleigh rushed over to Jenny, panicking. "Oh god. Are you ok? There's so much blood!" She looked around frantically, rushing back into the bar. "Anyone here a doctor or healer?" Melody looked to the back exit, raising from her seat. "I'm a healer," she announced, rushing over to them. She noticed the amount of blood and felt sick. "This is going to take a little time. Get her inside and lay her down- this cold won't help her none." Ashleigh nodded, picking her friend up and carried her over to the tables. Gently, she placed her friend across the seats.
Henry watched, swallowing hard before moving across to Jenny. "My dear lady, you look so pale..." He blinked back some tears, before speaking again. "This lady is going to make you better ok?"

She was only just coming back to consciousness. There were some others in the room, but she knew that was not something that had not been so before she'd lost the blood she had. "If I hadn't lost all that blood when I fell, I would have already healed by now." She certainly hurt at the moment. That was something she knew was not going to go away any time soon. "Normally I heal myself, but not this time... too weak."
