Why couldn't humans think rationally about things? Sometimes she wished she could just kick Marvin's butt, but she knew she should not do that as it was a bad reaction to his taunting. Instead she stared at the wall where she'd been fighting not long ago.
She would not be able to bring the woman back that melody had found, one able to be in her head was enough. She did not know the woman either, so there was nothing in bringing back a stranger worth having, she knew. She sighed, still glaring at the wall.

Melody continued to stare absently at the familiar face in the earth. As they sat in tensed silence, Henry edged himself outside. "How are you?" he asked Jenny, all ready knowing the answer. "The woman Melody found; Maggie. She was trying to kill Melody, whilst you were fighting the Slargon."

She sighed as someone came outside. She knew it was Henry before he even spoke to her. That was something that came with the bond between them. "Something's not right." She knew there was something wrong here. "There's not a single scorch mark here from the fight I had not an hour ago. And yet there should be. I can't even feel a trace of anything suggesting there was fire here, and I am well aquainted with the element that produces flames."
She could not figure it out. "That tells me that somehow that wily bastard escaped me again. Which means my hunt's not over."

Henry nodded with a frown. "If he is, then he's resting to heal for a bit." He thought for a moment. "The bigger worry is, maybe the dying magic is starting to affect your item and magic too."
Melody sighed, waving a hand over a plant. She could all ready imagine it blossoming. She let her magic flow through her. As much as she tried, the plant wilted in her presence. This wasn't good.
"Oh dear," she muttered.

She sighed. “I'll never be freed from him. He'll always come back in some way or another. I should know that by now.” It was not something she was pleased about. “I'll hunt him down... after the funeral.” She sighed. “I guess now though I have to help Melody. I'll be back soon, and then we can go out for that dinner.”
She turned to look at him. There were some things she was afraid of, but he was not one of them. Nor was that foolish little human, Marvin. There was no doubt in her mind that the human would pay for his deciet. “Tell Ash I'll be back soon.”
With that she let her mind range out, finding Melody. Instantly a purple portal appeared infront of herself. “Back soon,” she said, stepping through it. It vanished as a new one appeared near Melody. “You ready to get this thing done?” she asked, once she was a bit closer to the younger girl.

Melody nodded, "Good idea. Hadock Ville is the village we want."
Marvin sighed, it was his home. Soon, he thought tiredly, my friends will kill me for returning with outsiders.

She chuckled lightly. Then spreading her wings, she called another portal into existance. "You go first, because it closes behind me. I will only be a second behind you. I've chosen somewhere, inconspicous for us to come out of it, so no one will notice. Right behind that library." She smiled slightly. Time to deal with a bunch of humans that were hell bent on stopping Melody. "You don't have to come, Marvin," she snarled. "It's better you don't. You'll just get in the way of us."

Marvin shrugged, "Great. That'll save me from being killed with the rest of you." Melody rolled her eyes, regretting her choice in allowing him tto tag along.
"If they try to kill us- I will kill them first," she retorted angrily.

"One human I can protect easily. Two though is too much. You're not coming," she growled. There was no chance of him coming through her portal. If he did, she woudl knock him out. She really would. there was nothing but anger towards him. "I won't defend you, Marvin, I hope you realise that. Melody though I will. You can defend yourself, human." She looked at Melody. "Let's get this over with, shall we?"

Melody nodded, "I hope they won't attack us before we half bury the crystalyst. I'm a fair fighter, but I can fight better with my gifts."

"leave the fighting to me. That parts nothing hard for me to deal with." She was more than up to a fight no matter how bad the odds were. She knew what she was doing. "I was born to fight and help others. Thats one of the things I was born to do." Though it went against the grain to fight against humans, she would do so when needed in a situation like this.

Melody nodded, though this unsettled her. She wasn't use to having someone fight for her. "All right. Please be careful. First though, we need to get to Hell's Ridge. I need the sand stone to get home."

She chuckled. "I fight because I must. Humans are the ones I defend, whether they control magic of a sort or not." She knew that what she was going to do would not be easy at all. Focusing though, she thought where they were heading to. "I will defend you as long as needed." It was something she couldn't not do at all. "Protection is something that I have to give when it comes to people like you." Another portal opened in front of them. "If you would," she said, inclining her head.

Melody anxiously inched herself towards the portal; not sure what she was expecting. Holding her breath, she jumped in; closing her eyes tightly upon impact. "1... 2... 3! Weee!" she yelled. As far as she could tell, the trip was instantious- though her ears were ringing from the journey. Her eyes remained closed, almost afraid to open them. "Open you're eyes," Marvin growled moments later. He had followed them through.

She looked at Marvin and scowled. "Don't think I'm protecting you, Marvin." It was clear that she was not pleased with him being here. This would make things difficult. "You can protect yourself." There was no chance of her doing him any favours. He was not someone she would get along with, therefore she would never realy help him. Lier that he was.
