Warren looks around at the old building, admiring the out dated style. The structure looks shabby and in obvious need of repair. He takes a step closer, wondering what was inside. The paint on the red door was peeling, flaking away. Tilting his head, he opens the flaking door and steps inside.
"I'll have a beer please, mate," he says, pulling up a tall stall. "Where's all of the customers?"
The bar tender pours the man a drink, raising his eye brow. "You're not from around here, are you?" he grins, "This place is more dead than a grave yard."
The door opens behind him with a loud creak as a woman stepped inside. She wrinkles her nose, flicking her hair behind her shoulders. "I'll have a vodka and lemonade with some ice please." She glances side ways at the man beside her. She frowns, straightening her back. "You come here often?"
The bar tender chuckles to himself lightly, passing her the glass. "You're not from around here either then," he smiled. The woman blinked, noticing a bin in the corner of the room with a skeleton of a hand beside it. There was visible evidence of blood, and a smashed mirror behind the counter. The bar tender looked behind him, following her gaze.
"Don't mind them, they were left here by the last customers." He smiled, resting his elbows on the long table. "So, neither of you come from around here. Any one of you know why you are here in the first place?"
The man and woman looked at him with a puzzled look. "What you mean? We saw the charming building and was curious so we came in."
The bar tender laughed, wiping a tear from his eyes. "I bet you have no idea how you got to my street though." The man and woman fell silent.
"That's what I thought," the bar tender confirmed. "You've been brought here by a higher power."
"What do you mean? We are here by choice. I can just as easily leave... as soon as I have finished my drink," the woman scorned. The bar tender raised his hands, "Go ahead. But I am betting that the doors only open from the outside."
The woman rolled her eyes, "Don't be daft, the door knob is right there. How'd you get out otherwise?"
The man looked at the bar tender, his curiousity beginning to surface.
"I haven't left," the bar tender admitted sadly. "I have been here for about 500 years now."
The woman grunted, downing the last of her drink as she headed towards the door. She grabbed hold of the knob and pulled. As the bar tender had expected, the door did not budge.
"Stop being silly now. Let me out of here."
The bar tender shook his head, "I can if it was up to me. I told you, I havent left in five centuries."
The man looked at the distressed woman, then back at the bar tender. "Then how did the last customers leave?"
The bar tender pointed towards the broken mirror behind him. "They was not of this world. They exited through the mirror, I'd suggest you take the same route, but it is obviously of no use now since it is in several pieces."
The man grunted, "Are you high? A world through a mirror is a load of nonsense."
The bar tender sighed, then poured them each another drink. "Whether you believe me or not is irrelivant. You are both stuck her for a while whether you like it or not. So, you may as well pass the time and get to know each other until someone lets you out."
They stood for a few minutes in awkward silence.
"I'm Warren Rage, I am 37 years old and I am a bounty hunter." The woman sighed with some reluctance.
"Hi Warren. My name is Sarah Rox, I am 35 years old and I am a police officer."
Warren smiled, admiring the woman's long brown wavy hair, long slender legs that peered out from under her knee high black skirt. Her top was a loose blouse that had the first few buttons unfastened, revealing the top of her bra and breasts.
Warren sighed, looking less than attractive. His short black hair was untamed, her had a three day old stubble. He was also wearing no more than a black shirt and a black pair of trousers, with black shoes.
He grimanced at the thought of his unattractive appearance, silently staring at Sarah's black polish high heeled shoes.
"And now, we wait," he mumbled.

The door opened again, and she knew that things would be interesting in here. She knew that she was not human, but that was why she was here. This bar did not mind what you were at all, when it came to having customers. Or so she had heard. With her was another man, but it was clear they were together, seeing as their hands were holding each other.
A vampire and a werewolf were coming into the bar. No one would know about that, until it was too late. Rudi though, the werewolf was really only there incase Jenny tried to feed off someone unexpecting it. While it was true she was a little hungry, it did not matter. She knew how to stop herself. He was there incase she tried and failed to do just that.
They moved up towards the rather shabby looking bar, Jenny settling a little way away from the two humans, knowing that it was best she stayed upwind from them. Else things could get pretty messy for them, and for her. She did not want to attack the very species she was here to protect. There were dangerous things out there on the street.
Jenny has long black hair that reaches to her shoulder blades. She is very self conscious about her hair, when boys are involved. Her eyes as a human are an interesting brown/black colour. As a vampyre, her eyes glow red when she is around her peers. When out of the school she wears blue contacts, which make her eyes violet. Physically, she can be quite clumsy, a thing which really irks her. She is slightly skinny, though she is trying to fatten hersself up a bit. It just seems to not happen. Her height is approximately 5'11''.
Framing her face was the full tattoo of the older vampyres. A rearing golden pair of unicorns was there on her face, their horns touching in the middle of her forehead. There were rose garlands around the unicorn's necks, and an obvious dappled pattern to their coats. Something that seriously amazed her when she first got those.
"You really think this is a good idea for you to be here, Jenny?" Rudi asked, looking at her worriedly. He knew how much of a strain was likely on her, when there were other humans in the room. It was a struggle, going places together where normal humans would go to have a good night out. Things went bad, a lot of the time.
"I'll be fine," she replied. She glanced over at the humans though, knowing that they would not know what had come into the room at all. Sure she was a different creature to everyone else in the room, but no, it did not really bother her. At least the tattoos on her dark skin had not hurt that much to get. No, only for a few seconds and then the pain was something she was oblivious to.

The bar tender watched as the new customers began to fill the room. He gaped at the woman with a tatoo, as though he was trying to remember something important. Suddenly, he yelped; causing the police officer to jump and reach for her gun. She looked down, feeling the weapon missing from the hoister. Suddenly, she felt naked. She sat down slowly, watching the bar tender stare behind her. Nervously, she looked around to see a woman with a strange design tatooed on her face. "My my my," the bar tender gasped, his eyes lightened up as though he had suddenly been enlightened. "I cant believe it- I haven't seen that tatoo in somewhat a hundred and twenty years... Is it true... are you a...?" he swallowed hard, unable to finish the sentence. Warren frowned, glancing only briefly at the strange woman. He was taught it was rude to stare. Sarah glanced at the woman for a long moment before returning back to her drink. "Looks like we have more company in this strange bar," she mused.

"I wouldn't think about shooting me even if your did have your weapon on you. Silver won't kill me, it'll only inconvenience me temporarily. By that I mean for a few seconds." Jenny laughed. Then her attention went to the bar keepers words. "Go ahead, say it outloud. I'm not going to tell you if what you're thinking I am is right while its in your head."
Rudi smiled though, showing almost wolf like teeth him his own mouth. They were not the vampyre type though, his teeth.
Jenny smiled, showing the long pointed fangs in her mouth. It was obvious that she was not here for anything except to deal with her own hunger. She blinked and the blue contacts in her eyes seemed to dissolve, revealing blood red iris'.

Sarah blinked at the woman, frowning. "I wasnt thinking about shooting any one," she muttered, feeling offended. "I am a police officer, people yelping normally means trouble. It is what I prevent after all." Warren rested a firm hand on Sarah's shoulder. Glaring at the strange woman, he blinked for a moment, temporarily suprised at the woman's fangs. "Don't start panicking, Sarah. Its a bar, people yelp when they hurt themselves too you know." Then, he turned to the bar tender, who was still staring. "I suppose you're going to tell me they come from another world too, huh? This is my first time to this place, and until now, I have never seen a vampire- let alone know they exist." The bar tender swallowed hard, backing away from the bounty hunter. "Of course they exist, as do demons and werewolves. About three hundred years ago, even a kuritous came through here. He wasnt here for long though, he was killed after a few minutes after trying to feed from others." Sarah blinked, "Vampires, werewolves, demons and a kuritous? What in the world is this place?" They turned to the bar tender, who finally tore his eyes away from the woman. "This is the place between all worlds and dimensions. Anything and everything can come here. There is rarely any death, but you cant always expect species to mix well." Warren shrugged, "I suppose so." He turned to the new customers. "I dont suppose you know how you got here? We only remember being in this street and noticing this bar."

"How might i ask did you manage to take a Kuritos down? I've done it, but only by changing form into my more powerful hand to hand combat form." Jenny smiled though. Then all of a sudden there was a huge silver gryphon in the room. Then she was back again. "That would be my other form. I only use it, with my elemental abilities are null and void."
Rudi looked up at the question. "It just appeared out of nowhere. We've both been fighting another horror in our own world. We won, but barely. We're lucky to be alive at the moment. We stopped here to recover."
There were a few ugly scabs on his arms and legs. They seemed a week old but they were only minutes old.
"I'm not bothered by any of you being in here. Even if I did attack one of you, I don't think Rudi would let me get away with it. Out of us all, he's the only one strong enough to stop me."

The bar tender laughed lightly to himself. "Me take down a kuritous; if only I was that strong." He shook his head, "I didn't do it alone. We had a large group of guardians here back then. Some of them turned into animals, the others shot him with enough tranquilizers that would sure to kill a small animal." There was a moment of silence, his eyes seemed to mist as he watched the memory flash through his mind. "My wife is the one to get the praise for bringing it down. The biggest griffin I ever saw in my thousand life times. She trampled on its head and watched as the creature died whilst the other griffins pinned it down with their feather wings." There was more silence. "This is just too weird, like a delusioned nightmare," Sarah mumbled. Nothing appeared normal to her anymore.

She smiled at the thought. "I guess that's someone I'll have to meet. Though not as strong as me, begging your parden. I took one of the Kuritos without another's help." She knew though that it was something she ought to be proud of. "Where are the Gaurdians now? I am their leader, Nightstorm."
How unexpected these things were. There were others of her kind who had been here. "Only, although I'm a Gaurdian, I'm also one of the Altai, who rule the vampires, Gaurdians and dhampires of my world."
Rudi sat there by her side, still silent, as he thought of things to say. "You really don't want to get Jenny here angry with you. When she's angry theres no say what she will or will not do."

The bar tender nodded, turning his back as he rummaged through a draw. He paused, hesitating as he pulled out a small box, and a picture frame. "You would have liked her," he said, smiling sadly. "After the battle, there was an ambush. My wife didn't make it. The guardians made it ok, though they suffered with minor injuries. They healed like magic, even back in those days. You remind me of her, a little. She had eyes like yours. Though, she had amazing deep purple eyes that could look through your very soul." He handed her a picture of a woman. Her hair was long and black, she had high cheek bones and small fangs. He blinked for a moment, snapping himself out of his past. "Nightstorm huh? Her name was Galactic Night. Her remains are in this box, I keep it with me all the time." A tear rolled down his cheek, "The other guardians have mostly retired now. Lucius might still be around, maybe you heard of him? He had silvery hair, and a scar going across his right cheek..." Warren frowned, the man was obviously still grieving. "Very touching," Sarah mumbled. Warren glared at the police woman. "Have a heart, will you. The mans wife is dead," he snapped.

She sighed when she heard that the other Gaurdian was gone from the world. "It's sad to hear that she did not make it. I know what that's like, my mother was over 300 years old and she died recently, a newborn werewolf killed her. That was only months after I became a vampire. Not to mention mere days after I met Rudi."
She sighed, looking at the picture for a few moments before handing it back to him. "There's a picture of her at the school I was in. If it helps anything, she is famous amongst my kind. Always will be. Until now, I never knew what for though."
Rudi smiled, wrapping one arm around me. He knew where my thoughts went.
"I guess I should seek out Lucius, unless he shows up here."

The bartender smiled, taking the picture back gently. "The picture taken in front of the gates? That one was her favourite. She loved the school. Some of the guardians that retired spend a lot of time in the criptic building, I am sure you know of it. It's that concrete building a few minutes from the school itself. They built that there for emergencies, in case the Kuritous ever returned. They go through to the building once a month at the full moon." Warren smiled, "What about this Lucius person? He go there too?" Sarah looked up at him breifly, before returning her gaze at the closed doors. The man smiled, "Occasionally. Though, once every six months, he comes here to visit me. We talk about my wife and how she had been a big part of defeating the kuritous. After being ambushed by the werewolves though, the species went their seperate ways. True friends among them of course, decided to keep their friendship discret to avoid conflict." Sarah grunted, reluctantly joining in with the conversation. "How did Lucius get a scar?" The bartender cleared his throat, "He got it whilst trying to save my wife's life at the ambush. There was too many of them though. The rogue vampires set loose the Kuritous, and the rogue werewolves ambushed the remaining vampires that wasn't dust." "So, he tried to save your wife and got slashed across the face? Interesting." Warren rolled his eyes, "Ignore her. She is just testy because she wants to leave." The bartender blinked, "She will have to wait until midnight. Thats when the doors will open for a short time. If your not out in time, it'll close again for another 24 hours." Sarah grinned, taking an eager look at the time on her watch. "It's..." her smile faded. "It's only eight o clock. We've got another four hours to go." She groaned, the rested her head on the table with a thud. "I guess I will have another drink then," she mumbled miserably.

"I know all about the secrecy thing. Rudi and I have had that as an issue for some time now. Its been a few years since we met, and every time I run into another vampire, things get a little tense. Seeing as werewolves are still meant to be enemies. Maybe that started when your wife fought with the Kuritos. I've definately heard things like that, but never anything about our races being freinds, though I suspected as much. Not that I have any issues with that right now."
She smiled. "I know the building you speak of. It's been activated again, seeing as the Kuritos have returned. Its annoying, but we're all getting there eventually."

The bartender nodded with a smile. "Oh yes, they were friends. After some of each species went rogue, they couldnt trust one another any more. In return, they vowed that they will never speak of their friendship. Of course, none of them would admit that some of their students and clan had gone rogue. So, they pinned the blame on each other." He thought for a moment, wiping the counter clean with a damp cloth before pouring the police officer another drink. "Kuritous returned?" his voice suddenly turned shrill with fright. "When did this happen? You must be careful. Kuritous isn't just one thing, one creature, a single name. Kuritous is its own species. As each leader dies, the next in line grows stronger. Watch out for the shadows, they hide in the shadows." He began to wipe the counter more furiously, muttering to himself. Muttering a rhyme in quick decession. "The red scales, their orange eyes, the shadows are where it lies, watch your backs, guardians watch out, the red beast Kuritous is coming out. Fight with the earth, fight it with flames, avoid the skies and water panes, each one dies another follow, there will be another in the morrow." He reached behind the counter, downing a shot of vodka. Sarah looked up at him, watching the blood drain from the man's terrified face. Warren frowned, "So, I guess you got more troubles heading your way." The door swung open with a loud bang. A man stepped through the shadows. He had silvery hair and a scar down his right cheek. "Henry? Are you all right?" he asked. Warren blinked, "You must be Lucius. The bartender has just gone into shock. The Kuritous has returned." Lucius gasped, turning as he nodded a brief acknowledgment to the other customers. "Henry," he called. "It is time. We must go back tonight- you must show the vampires the door beneath the cellar!" Henry sobbed, shaking as he held the mans arms at length. "They have returned. They killed my wife, now they are back. They can not be defeated." Lucius whacked the man around the face. "Get a grip. They can be defeated. You must not let anyone out the front exit. Yes, the kuritous has returned, and died by Nightstorms hand. Now, we have bigger problems. I have been sent to get everyone out of retirement- that includes you. Get everyone down through the exit in the cellar."

"Meaning you no disrespect, Lucius, but there are two among us here, that can and have fought the Kuritos before. I am the Nightstorm that killed the last one, on my own."
As the words went on though, my appearence was hardening, changing. From my shoulder blades sprang two massive black eagle wings. They spread out, easily three meters in length each. Slowly, and easily, my body changed into a gryphon, only this one was not all feathers and fur, but scales where feathers ought to be.
Beside me, Rudi himself was changing form. It was not long before a massive bear sized wolf stood next to me. Together we would fight.

Lucius's own appearance hardened too, his grey eyes lit up; then softened again. "Well done, very clever. But you wasn't listening. We are now not dealing with a single Kuritous. We are dealing with a pack of them." He glared at henry, who nodded, shakily reaching for his key from around his neck. "I'm sorry nightstorm, I respect your position as leader, but have you defeated a pack of those things yet? This is more trouble than we have had for over six hundred years." Warren shook his head, "Who sent you to collect everyone out of retirement? I thought she's the leader?" Lucius glared at him, revealing his fangs and blood red eyes. "The guardians sent me. They also sent me with a message for Nightstorm." He turned to the vampire leader. "I was told to tell you and your friend, "Gather everone you can. The Kuritous's isn't the only problem. They're back; and they're trying to break into all the schools. We've all ready lost a few students who thought they can take them out alone. They know you're more powerful, but this is more than a single kuritous we are fighting, like I said. They're back. Several things could have come back, but they wasn't persific. They only told me, with pale faces, that they're back." Sarah rolled her eyes, "And where esackly will the cellar lead us? If you haven't noticed, I am human not a vampire, demon or werewolf. So I am asuming I can still leave by the normal exit." Henry grimaced, "Afraid not. This bar has to have someone inside at all times. Once I leave, the door will not open at midnight. You will either have to come to the schools with us, or you stay here until we return." Warren cringed, "How long until you return. No offense, but I dont think the other species will like us trespassing on their lands." Henry gave him a small smile, "There's no answer for that. I could very well be killed tonight. If that is the case, you'll have to take it in turns to get some air. Because, it wont allow you both out. You shall be named, the protectors of the worlds. On the plus side, as long as your here, you'll both be immortal."
