I thought quickly, mind backpedalling to when that happened. No, I was not too worried by Lucius' choice of words. "We'll all fight, on the same side. Werewolves. Demons. and Vampires. This is a time when hatreds needs to be rested aside."
Rudi nodded. "I'll call my brethren." He snarled as he changed form. I heard the rush of words going on in his head, a direct call to the other werewolf elders. He let me into the talking as well. What's really going on, Nightstorm? a male voice asked. I recognised it. Khan, the Kuritos have come. One of the eldest of the Dhampire Gaurdians, Lucian turned up with a message for me. I hope that Slargon's not involved as well. Very well. Can you make a portal or something to get us inside where you are? Lucin's gathering our troops. I will do what I can. Alert the demons, would you? Course.
Pulling myself out of Rudi's head I looked at Lucin and the bartender. "Can you clear some space. I'm going to make a portal, so a group of werewolves, demons and vampires can get here quickly from the schools."
I then looked at Warren. "I might warn you now, Warren. If a particular being called Slargon is in on this, refuse anything he asks. Because if you relent, I will have no choice but to kill you, as all he wants, is my death. I only hope that it does not come to that."

Warren blinked, "It's my day off, I would rather avoid trouble." Sarah grinned, "Bounty hunting work that difficult for you?" Warren glared at her, "If you havent noticed, but a pack of demons, wolves and vampires are about to come through. We very well may have to stay here for five centuries. Together." He thought for a moment, something felt familiar with the situation. "Have we met?... no course not. Why does this all feel like a Dai-ja-vu?" Sarah shrugged, "Maybe it's a pastlife sort of thing?" Warren groaned, "Oh Blotches! I should've known my past will bite me, even if it was another life time ago." Henry blinked, "Blotches? Well, what an odd phrase..."

She laughed. "We will see. He'll still try, and beleive me, he's very persuasive. He'll even offer the things you want most in the world if you help to take me down." It was a serious thing here. Though there was no chance she was going to let anything get in the way.
Silent now though, she turned to one of the bigger open spaces in the room. Four different balls of light, red, white, green and blue shot from her, forming a circle. A pure silver ball then came out, creating the portal.
Was not long before there was the sound of beating wings, and running paws and talons. It was clear that there was a large number of others coming. At least a thousand, plus about a hundred Gaurdians of varying age. All of them were armed and ready.
My group was here. The werewolves were spreading out behind Rudi and the demons behind their leader...
"Good to see you again, Ashleigh."
"Can't refuse a fight, Jenny. You know I'll always help you," the blond haired black scaled winged female demon replied.

Lucius blinked, rubbing his eyes. "You two... friends?" he asked, horrified. Ashleigh grinned, "Of course. We've been friends for a long time." Henry looked at the growing crowd, backing away nervously. "Wow. I havent had this many people in this bar in over four centuries. Does anyone want any refreshments?" Lucius shook his head, "We haven't got time. We need to go through the cellar." Henry sighed with some reluctance. "Oh, very well then. Come on through the back." Henry went through first, followed by Lucius. Lucius looked back at Warren and Sarah. "You two best stay here and run the bar. We very well may not be alive after this to return." Warren looked at Sarah, then sighed with some annoyance. "Fine. We'll stay and be immortal, protectors of all worlds," Sarah muttered. Warren nodded in agreement. "I'm not sure I can go back to my normal life after this. Now that I know other worlds exist, I think I would like to stay." Sarah nodded, "I'll stay until the doors open, then I am out of here. Though, I will come once a week to offer my company for a while." Ashleigh narrowed her eyes, "If Kuritous comes here; hide." Warren stared at her, transfixed by her midnight black scales. "Wha- What are you?" he asked, frowning slightly with apprehension. "I'm a demon," she growled. "I am the Head Demon, and I am very serious. Do not confront the Kuritous." "Oh," Warren mumbled, falling silent. Silently, he watched as the vampires, wolves and demons disappeared through the cellar door.

Then I bowed my head towards the two other werewolves in front of the others of their kind. “Khan, Lucin, thank you, both.” The two werewolves chuckled, smiling at me. "You are one of us, Jenny," Khan replied. "If you're fighting, we werewolves cannot just sit back and watch, seeing as Rudi is with you." "Yes, if one elder fights, then all three of us will," Lucin replied. I knew now that there was certainly an alliance coming into play here.
My mind probed out though, into where we were going. For a moment all I could sense was the Kuritos. Then I hissed and it was a dark, ill sound that came out of me, filled with clear rage. My eyes flicked immediately towards Karen, Ashleigh and Rudi. My freinds as well, the ones in my circle, converged as well. I knew that mind and he knew I was here. "He came...." I grimaced. "Slargon." And he was not alone.
Yes, I came, little Altai. Time for you to join me... No! I shoved him out of my head. Pure agony came through from him into me, as he shoved back in. Give up, you're never going to win against me. I will fight you until the day I die to be reborn, Slargon. You will never take me out!

Warren looked at Nightstorm with slight concern. "Are you all right?" he asked. Ashleigh nodded, "She'll be fine. Slargon is here though, and is, at the moment, challenging Nightstorm." Sarah cringed, "A what?" she spluttered. Warren had an odd expression on his face, as though he was lost in his thoughts. "Slargon? I know that name- I know I do, but where from?" He growled with frustration. Sarah's eyes widened as she watched the man change before her eyes. Warren screamed, staring at his hands whilst he changes. Scales as black as night began to spread over him like a rash. He gasped in pain and bewilderement. "What's happening to me? Why the hell does this feel so familiar? What the hell are you doing to me?!" He screamed, frustrated and frightened. Everyone looked at Ashleigh for answers, who stood there calmly. "You know, don't you?" Sarah told her. It was not a question. Ashleigh cleared her throat, but continued to watch in silence. Wings appeared from Warren's back, tearing his clothing into shreds as the wings burst through the material. Finally, he stopped screaming as he hunched on the floor with a growl. "What am I?" he growled. Ashleigh swallowed hard, she knew of course, but had only heard rumours and seen texts in books. "You're a protector. It's genetic. You feel familiar because you have had turned in each of your past lives. Every generation that Slargon is loose, you change into a protector. But not an normal protector. You're Nightstorms protector- not that she needs it of course." Warren frowned, "I'm a vampire's protector? Why hadn't I heard of this from my parents?" Ashleigh sighed, "They must have decided that they are not believing in fairy tales anymore. As you have noticed though, this is no fairy tale." Warren stood up tall, taking a look at his new appeareance. "Why isn't my other siblings like me? Why isn't Hilda like this, or Jennson?" Ashleigh cleared her throat, "Because they are not protectors. You are- and only you. You are not strong enough to beat Kuritous, but you are strong enough to cut down the Slargons. Take a look at your hands and finger nails." Warren obeyed, taking a close look at his fingers. His nails were long, strong and pointed. Ashleigh looked around, pointing at the wall at the far end of the room. "Scratch at the wall." She told him firmly. Warren hesitated, scratching at the wall. Large and deep scratches appeared on the wall, shredding the wall bare of any paint or wall paper. "I made that?" he asked blinking. Ashleigh nodded. She looked at him in silence. The protector stood mute, as he began to process what he had become. He looked up, frowning with dismay. "I think that the past lives are not so forgotten with protectors. I have access to it's memories- my past lives memories. All of them." Ashleigh nodded, "It takes a while to adjust to the information needed to remember. Shock usually delays the memories to surface. The memories have to surface, in order to know how to defeat the Slargons. Otherwise you would be clueless about what to do." Warren nodded, "I understand." He glanced at Nightstorm, feeling slightly less uncomfortable. "The Slargon will not defeat you, I promise. I have more skills than simply scratching." Sarah laughed, smirking at the thing standing there beside her. "Like what?" Warren grinned, "I control some of the earth's elements. I can cause the earth to open up and swallow the enemies whole. I can cause earthquakes and avalanches. I even have sonic boom, by clapping in the air. Oh and the wings help me to fly." Sarah's mouth hung open in stunned silence. "I wish I was a protector." Warren laughed "You are a protector. Protector for humans, you capture the killers." Sarah nodded, "That's true." Warren stood tall, flexing his wings. Then, he stood beside Nightstorm proudly. Suddenly he blinked, looking at her alarmed. She looked uncomfortable and irked. "I can hear your thoughts," he gasped. Though, there was a foreign voice hiding in the shadows of her mind. That would be why he can hear thoughts too, he thought silently. Get out of her mind you vile fiend. You can not have this vampire. I know who you are, son of Alkalash! The foreign voice shrank back, pulling out of Nightstorms mind. Carefully, Warren did the same. "Are you all right?" he asked her, feeling concerned. The effort of pushing out the Slargon had shaken him, he hoped the Slargon wouldn't invade the vampires thoughts any more.

I knew that it would do no good having Warren pushing him out. He'll be back, I thought. There was no way that one shove from Warren would stop him from trying to dominate me. Are none of my thoughts safe? Twos' company but three of us in my heads too much of a crowd. "You can keep the other ones off of me. The strongest of them though, is mine. He's the one who was in my head. I've danced this dance many more times than any of you know." I only could hope that having Warren here would be a help. "At least with you as one of the protector's I've had over the centuries, he can't win you over, Warren."
There was so much going on for me, and I knew that none of the things that were happening were going to be good. There were so many lives at stake now. "You thought the Kuritos were bad, Ash? They're like kittens in comparison to the leader of the Slargon. He's like a lion in strength." The very thought made me grimace. It was a power that I would be struggling against. "I'll admit having you suddenly in my head like that Warren was a little odd. Though I know there is a chance for us now with a Protector on our side."
The ones on the other side were going to have hell to pay and I knew that they would be aware of it. Now that Slargon had shuddered at the strength that Warren had used, he would be shaken.
Rudi looked across at me. "You know that I'll be helping you in particular as well, Jenny. You're not fighting aglone against him." "You can't!" I exclaimed. "You're an elemental!" "So what?" I sighed at the obvious obliviousness in his voice. "He can control you. Focus only on the Kuritos, this time, Rudi. It's the only way."
Then I looked at Ashleigh. "I'm surprised you know of my protectors, what with being a demon and all that stuff."

Ashleigh nodded sadly. "The protectors are not limited to one species. I've read that the protectors are part demon for added strength, and immunity to the sunlight. So, because of both bloods, there is a book about this in both of our libraries. It'll be in the reference section. It's titled "The protectors"." Ashleigh thought for a moment. Then took off her bag and slammed it onto the table. "I brought it with me, I wanted to have the information ready in case this event took place." She pulled a large dusty book from her bag. Then, she flicked through the pages. Finally, they were staring at the middle page with a picture of Warren's protector form imprinted on the page. "Here it is," she muttered.

How had she known that a thing like this was possible? "I thought that was something that we usually kept from the demons and werewolves." I sighed though. It seemed to me that someone had overheard my people discussing it. That was something I was not too pleased about.
Walking over though, I looked at the page, Ash had opened the book to. Somehow though it was in another language. "Err... translation please?"

Ashleigh nodded, then she began to read. "6000 years ago, the Slargons were born and began to reek havoc in the cities. So, the humans went to a scientist who created a forumula to create a protector. Now, every time the protector is reborn, he fights against the Slargons. Once though, the Slargons tried to convince him to be his allie. He said no, which made the Slargons angry. They turned their attention to the more powerful beings, convinced that the protector will then have no other choice but to join them. They offer him the same posisition every time they meet. Each time, the answer was always the same. So, the battle continues to rule the world to become the most powerful beings ever lived."

"One position that he is not likely to get this time, once again." I did not take lightly to being betrayed and I was sure that Warren knew that now. Things were going to get ugly, but I did not really mind about that. Everyone knew what I was like when it came to someone turning their back on me. It was not something anyone got away with and lived. I knew who I was, and I would always be that person. I cared about the others who were still here that were on my side of the fight coming.

Warren looked at Jenny breifly as he struggled to think clearly. "No one is going to betray you; let alone look at you in the wrong way. If anyone so much as scowls or even frowns at you- I would know about it within seconds." He smiled confidently at his re-newed friend, hoping to provide her with some comfort. "I am sure she will be fine," Ashleigh said, reminding everyone that she was still in the room. "Yeah, I am sure I will be fine too, sitting in this bar... alone." "Yes," henry smiled, "You will be fine."

"We had best get out there then. Time to deal with this lot before they do anything that could be trouble for those of us who are in here." I sighed. Blood was going to be shed, by a lot of us. Some of us, would not come back afted the battle.
"Be careful, all of you. I can tell what they want and that is to kill every single one of us. Not something I have not had against me, but still. Be careful, I don't want to see too many of you dead because of me." Yes I was feeling a little guilty about all of this.

Warren nodded, he knew how much trouble was about to arrive. "I just hope that the enemies will lose more than we do. We can't afford to lose a lot of people." He began to prepare to go down through the cellar.
Sarah sat at a stall. The bar fell silent as the crowd went through the back exit. "I guess I will be staying in this bar alone." The bar seemed empty despite the fact that there was large group below her. Suddenly, she felt very alone. She grumbled as she stepped behind the bar counter, then poured herself another drink.

It was true there were things that they would not be able to afford to lose at the moment. It was something of a nightmare, Jenny knew, what was coming for them outside. The whole way through the tunnels she was working on blocking her mind from everyone who was not on her side of the fight.
Though she knew full well that anything could happen, she knew that she ought to not be worried about the things she knew. It was no easy thing for her though. Could she possibly escape all the death and survive to see a new day?
